As follows: Partially printed document, one page with docketing, Granville County, NC, August 27, 1864. A bond for $2000 posted on behalf of conscripted blacksmith Kintchin Heathcock. Fine condition. Manuscript DS, three pp., 8vo, Granville County, NC, November 12, 1864. Addressed to James Seddon, Confederate Secretary of War, this is a petition by prominent citizens seeking draft exemption for blacksmith Kintchen Heathcock. It states that "...Heathcock is a good workman...he has been a practical blacksmith for the last fifteen years, that he has a large and helpless family dependent on his labour..." Very fine condition. Partially printed document, one page with docketing, imprinted "Executive Department, North Carolina, Adjutant General's Office," Raleigh, NC, April 3, 1865, 4to, "By order Gov Vance" this document conveys a transfers General Court Martial from the state capital to High Point, NC. Fine condition.
