Made in Italy using Ponti's celebrated 1957 design. These lightweight, yet sturdy, chairs are of fruitwood and incorporate tightly woven cane seats. One chair retains its Cassina label. The Superleggera chairs were inspired by the lightweight Chiavari side chairs of the 19th century (see Lot 121).
