Including a marble obelisk and bronze sphinx on plinth. The obelisk is made from a gray veined marble and black marble with carved gold and silver gilt hieroglyphics to the front, all atop a bronze mounted base (20.5 x 7.5 x 5 in.). A male bronze sphinx rests on a later wooden plinth, the bronze having a nice patina throughout. The plinth is painted black wood with gilt highlights, also applied are griffin ormolu mounts.
