Oil on canvas, signed with artist's monogram "O'C" at lower left and dated '81, unframed. Frank O'Cain, born in San Diego, studied at the Art Students League in NYC and now teaches at his alma mater. He also has a popular lecture series at the Met. This painting is representative of his technique of building upon layers of glazes.
