Late 18th century, walnut with pine secondary, simple but well-constructed two-part chest of drawers having a molded cornice over five graduated lipped drawers, the base with four graduated lipped drawers and stiles which form straight feet. The side skirts are gently shaped. There is no evidence that knobs were ever an accessory.

Case constructed with full sliding dovetails.

Back has been off leaving no indication of original nails; metal patch to back of top drawer; new drawer guides and runners.
