Hunter, Richmond, soling, vertical fold. 5) Treasury Department cover to Col. Howell Cobb, stains with old tape residue. Cobb would rise to become a major general. 6) Georgia State Guard cover with extremely faded address to Howell Cobb in Richmond. 7) Clipped cover front from the General Post Office Department, Auditor's Office with a five-cent CSA #1 tied by a faint Richmond cds. 8) Partially inscribed form letter from the Treasury Department, Confederate States, Second Auditor's Office, Richmond, April 1, 1864 regarding pay for a South Carolina artillery company.
