As follows: 1) Department of State envelope, unused. 2) Adjutant and Inspector General's Office cover to "Brig. Genl Toombs / Commander of 1st Div.," referring to Robert Toombs of Georgia (1810 - 1875), moderately stained with splits and very old tape repairs. 3) War Department, Engineer Bureau cover with manuscript name, "Capt Jos Seabury" in left margin, on English watermarked paper, light soiling. 4) Surgeon General's Office cover addressed to John H. Hunter, Richmond, soling, vertical fold. 5) Treasury Department cover to Col. Howell Cobb, stains with old tape residue. Cobb would rise to become a major general. 6) Georgia State Guard cover with extremely faded address to Howell Cobb in Richmond. 7) Clipped cover front from the General Post Office Department, Auditor's Office with a five-cent CSA #1 tied by a faint Richmond cds. 8) Partially inscribed form letter from the Treasury Department, Confederate States, Second Auditor's Office, Richmond, April 1, 1864 regarding pay for a South Carolina artillery company. A few stains.
