Deep crimson body sporting hand-painted owls beneath a moonlit sky on one side and swallows flying against a cloudy sky on the other side. Bottom stamped "ROOKWOOD 1882" and with incised initial "NJH" (N.J. Hirschfeld worked at Rookwood 1882-1883).
