Late 17th century, both relief carved oak with mortise and tenon pegged construction; the first a hall chair with lift seat, 42.75 x 24.5 x 20 in., replaced hinges, replaced boards on lower back with later interior corner braces; the second chair, 37.5 x 20.5 x 18, has later applied support to back. Both chairs with old surfaces.
