Oil on canvas board, unsigned, housed in a contemporary silver gilt frame. Bernard Glasgow studied at NYU and the Art Students League in New York City during the 1930s and 1940s. He was also affiliated with the WPA. He exhibited widely including at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Art Institute of Chicago, Brooklyn Museum, and the National Academy of Design. By 1960 he began a successful career as a commercial artist.
