The first titled "L'Amour Mort," one of two trial proofs (from an edition with 100 impressions), signed and dated in the plate lower left "Albert Sterner 1913," signed and inscribed by the artist in pencil lower right margin "To Lu Ludlow Gunn / Albert Sterner 1913," retaining original Kleeman-Thorman gallery label on the verso; the first titled "Pierrot," signed in the plate "Albert Sterner 1921," signed in pencil by the printer lower left margin "Geo. (?) (Chuller?) / Printer"; both in matching gilt frames.

Both with expected toning; "Pierrot" with scattered foxing; neither has been examined out of the frame.
