M1852 sword, 30.5 in., Solingen blade, LOA 36 in., marked "Hilborn and Hamburger / New York" on ricasso, blade etched with naval motifs, complete with original leather carrying case. Black japanned box, 9" x 18.25" x 7.75" containing chapeau, gold bullion epaulettes, sword belt with false two-piece naval belt plate. Box somewhat scuffed, contents in excellent condition.
