Fontispiece consists of hand-colored copperplate engraving of commercial plants, including cotton, teas and spices. The text, exploring Asia, Africa and the Pacific, incorporates several engravings depicting the inhabitants of these regions.

Shelf rub to covers, worn hinges, binding remains tight, scattered damp stains and light foxing internally, former owner's library plate inside front cover. Overall good condition.
