Both black crayon drawings as follows: "Branch Brook Park, Newark, New Jersey," signed lower right with monogram, inscribed and dated by artist, "Newark 03-18 5 P.N" in lower margin. In wooden frame. SS 4.75" x 6"; DOA 9" x 11" "Old Shipyard at Tiverton, Rhode Island," signed lower right with monogram, inscribed on lower margin by artist "Old Ship Yard Tiverton RI. Je 21-24", in wooden frame. SS 5" x 6.75"; DOA 9.5" x 11.5" Bluemner was a friend to Alfred Steiglitz and celebrated modernist. His work was the subject of a monographic retrospective at the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, 2005 - 2006.

Private Collection. The artist's estate to his son, Robert Bluemner, 1938 - 1968; to private collection, 1968 - 2009.
