SS 10" x 13.5"; DOA 16" x 20" "The Misquodoboit River - Nova Scotia," pencil drawing, inscribed "Over" upper right field, in composition frame, SS 6.75" x 12.25"; DOA 8.5" x 14.5" "Tree Near Farmhouse," pencil drawing, in faux wooden frame, SS 8" x 7.5"; DOA 14.75" x 12.75" "View at Dorchester," pencil drawing with wash, inscribed and dated "Dorchester. 1843" lower right, in faux wooden frame. SS 7" x 8.5"; 12.75" x 14.75" Seager, an English immigrant, taught drawing in Boston before becoming the U.S. Naval Academy's first professor of drawing and drafting. His work is found in many collections, including that of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.
