This same model is featured in Vernon's painting titled "Carnations are for Love" sold at Christie's, London, on October 21, 1999. It was also dated and inscribed "Paris '09." This painting is particularly exciting due to the interior scene with the musicians and the lighting. The enhanced setting and large size make this among Vernon's finest paintings.
