Circa 1820, attributed to Baltimore, MD, mahogany veneers over poplar, mahogany, and white pine, this fine board features a rectangular top with open central shelf flanked by a faux tambour to one end and a working tambour which opens to a bottle compartment over three side-by-side drawers, supported by fluted columns having the caps and channels mounted with decorative brass, over blind paneled doors, raised on carved hairy paw feet.

57 x 76.5 x 27.5 in.

Accompanying the lot is a photograph of this sideboard in the house where it was found. Black script "Roanoke" on bottom board of case.

Replaced knobs; veneer patches and chips throughout; some brass fluting missing; left brass cap missing.
