New England Chippendale Tall Case Clock

Late 18th century, walnut with white pine secondary, the half-blind dove-tailed hood is surmounted by a broken arch pediment featuring finely carved rondels and is supported by delicately turned columns, the door glazed with antique glass, opens to a painted metal face (over brass works) having a second hand dial and date aperture, the waist door with tombstone molding inset with burled walnut panel flanked by fluted quarter columns. The plinth base detailed with conforming quarter columns, flush base. With pendulum and two weights.
