(7) piece service - (6) pieces are hand-worked by H. Mahler & Sons of Raleigh, NC and the large coffee pot is coin silver and made by Peter Chitry (New York, NY). The service includes the Chitry coffee pot (11.5 in.; 40.1 troy oz.), coffee pot (10 5/8 in.), teapot (9 in.), sugar bowl with cover (9.25 in.), cream jug (8 in.), cream jug (6 in.), and sugar bowl with cover (6.5 in.). Each with lobed body and applied die rolled band of floral decoration; the domed covers with cast basket of flowers finials; ivory insulators; each monogrammed in script lettering.

The Mahler pieces were likely commissioned in the late 19th century to match the Chitry coffee pot which dates to circa 1820.

Ivory insulators damaged on handle of smallest teapot; scattered minor denting and scuffing.
