Late 18th century, the first, of mixed hardwoods having a shaped crest with ears above a pierced splat featuring an elongated heart cut-out, later rush seat, baluster turned stretchers (39 x 20 x 18 in.); the second chair is maple, transitional Queen Anne, with vasiform back splat, later rush seat, turned stiles and stretcher base ( 41 x 19.5 x 15.5 in.)
