French, second half of the 19th century, brass movement stamped twice "Made in France", the second stamping obscures the serial number 7939 (?), the engine-turned steel dial is behind beveled glass within a gilt palmette border, repeating chime with acorn-ended pull at the bottom, the back of the case engraved "Walter R. Marvin / 1906."
