Meiji period (1868-1912), a very elegant and colossal incense burner, consisting of three parts, the upper urn is decorated in high relief with with birds and flowers amid incised clouds, water, and bamboo, the urn fits into a stand with four legs decorated with the faces of foo lions, resting on top of a double tiered base.

A few pushes on the surface of the top urn; wear on surfaces; scratching and losses to finish on rim; nice verdigris in over body in places.
