Circa 1820-1825, the 7 in. engraved silvered brass dial marked "Bate, London" with indicators for yards, poles, furlongs and miles, the instrument being set into a mahogany frame that is driven by a six-spoked, iron-rimmed wheel. Presented on a conforming wooden display stand.
