The first of rectangular form, parcel gilt, the hinged cover with enamel and engine turned decoration, period bright cut engraved monogram, likely French, faint mark to interior of CM (2.75 x 1.5 in); the second an Austrian silver parcel gilt compact, circular form, marked "Made in Austria sterling 935" and J188, mirrored interior, the hinged cover with finely done enameled scene of lovers surrounded by robin's egg blue guilloche enamel surround and the underside with the same (2 3/8 in diameter); an Italian silvertone box with hinged cover with floral tesserae decoration; a miniature silvertone unmarked box, the cover with painted scene of two hearts underneath a tree under beveled glass; and an 18th century Dutch silver box, the domed cover reads "Goed Voor Hooedfyn".
