This is Dater's best known photograph - depicting the elderly Imogen Cunningham, one of America's first woman photographers, coming across a young nymph, the model Twinka Thiebaud, in the forest at Yosemite. This photograph was published in Life magazine for their special report on Remarkable American Women: 1776-1976.

Included with this lot is a copy of Imogen Cunningham: A Portrait by Judy Dater, New York Graphic Society (1979).
