Large Japanese Arita Charger with Fish

Late 19th century or early 20th century, porcelain decorated in underglaze blue in Arita or Ko-Imari style, two fish swim in brushed water with one small fish jumping up into the air, all set underneath branches of blooming flowers, border is a bit provincial in the painting style, the underside has decoration around the edges, the foot has three kiln dots from where it was set during firing.

Diameter: 18 in.

Some minor scratching and wear to the surface; kiln defects in form of indentions in three places and thick clear glaze pooling on one area of the rim.
