The front free endpapers of each book are owner-signed Peter Trezevant, likely by the prominent antebellum South Carolinian of that name.

Each volume professionally restored and stabilized; tight binding; expected age toning to pages; scattered light foxing; small area of marginal loss to the title page in Volume III. Overall a splendid set.
