Somewhat larger than a sixth-plate, this studio image clearly shows a young man wearing a Model 1851 sword belt plate with an applied silver wreath while holding his kepi in one hand and a Model 1860 saber in the other. Lot includes a quarter-plate half case that is not original to the image.
