18th century, the three headed Tantric deity is depicted seated on a floating lotus throne with six arms, four holding Buddhist implements, the other two embracing his consort, numerous Buddhist figures depicted above and below including Buddha Aksobhya seated directly above, unframed.

Guhyasamaja is a meditational icon of the Gelugkpa School of Tibetan Buddhism.

Loss to upper left corner; left side of painting and some of right side of painting with water and damp marks; a horizontal break line across the upper portion of the painting; possible re-touch; pigment loss consistent with age and rolled storage.
