Four Japanese Woodblock Prints by Utagawa Kunisada (1786-1864) and Other

Edo period (1615-1868), ink and colors on paper, includes two prints of famous Sumo wrestlers including Unryu by Kunisada, a print entitled Agemaki of an elaborately dressed geisha by Kunisada, and a Meiji period print of a street scene dated to Meiji 26 (1893), all framed under glass, not examined outside of frames.

DOA: 19 x 13.75 in.

Kunisada prints have creasing especially the geisha were a previous fold down the middle remains evident; wear and loss to edges; toning of paper; fading of color; and some discoloration.
