Circa 1760s, approximately .71 caliber, 41.5 in. barrel stamped with gunmaker's proof and view marks, walnut stock, brass furniture, inlaid brass escutcheon behind hammer engraved HDR / 1777 (likely later), the top of the buttplate incised with the initials "GK" having a period appearance.

Similar to the Committee of Safety muskets issued during the American Revolution.

Possibly cut down; action not working; replacement screws on the hammer, flash pan, spring, and side plate; the ramrod is stuck in place; smooth, deep patina to the barrel; toned brass elements.
