Early 19th century, attributed to the South Carolina back country, mixed woods to include: walnut to case, figured mahogany veneer to drawers, yellow pine secondary, two part form, the (16) light bookcase features a frieze inlaid with vine and leaf centered with a light wood diamond, louvered shelf interior, above a base with a pull out butler's drawer having an eight drawer divided interior over valanced cubby holes, three long graduated drawers all with triple line inlay, the skirt with conforming vine inlay raised on straight bracket feet.
