The sponsor's mark may be that of of Aymé Videau (active 1723-1775), a silversmith who was probably of Huguenot descent. Two examples of his work are in the collections of the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.

Numerous scattered dings; the finial has been re-attached and may be a later replacement; minor mis-shaping to foot; small "plug" to base.
