Stem wind and set, the open face case with signed white dial and bold Arabic numeral hour markers with subsidiary second's register, works signed "Father Time / Elgin Nat'l. Watch Co. / 21 jewels / 23551876 / Adjusted 5 positions," screw back case interior signed "Dueber / 10KT / Gold Filled / 11464986." With gold filled watch chain and with a portion of a broken watch chain stamped 14KT.

The Estate of the late Wade Anderson Gardner, Jr., Wilson, NC Mr. Gardner, Jr. was born on March 25, 1936 in Wilson, and was the son of the late Lela Smith Gardner and Wade Anderson Gardner. A lifelong educator, he was awarded The Order of the Long Leaf Pine in 2004 for his 30 years of exemplary service to the educational system of North Carolina.
