O.F.C. Distillery Whiskey Charity Bottle benefiting Animal Protection Society (APS) of Durham, NC
Lot Details & Additional Photographs

This spectacular bottle of OFC (Old Fashioned Copper) Bourbon is a part of philanthropic efforts by Buffalo Trace Distillery and is being auctioned to benefit APS of Durham, NC.

APS of Durham is a nonprofit building lifelong bonds between people and animals through education, community outreach and providing care for animals in need. APS of Durham was charged no commissions or fees by Leland Little Auctions.

The bottle was distilled & barreled in 1983 and is only one of fifty (specifically, #22/50) bottles in the entire world with this recipe and aging.

Although the wine & whisky director, Mark Solomon, is quite fond of all five nonprofits auctioning O.F.C. Distillery Whiskey bottles, the APS of Durham happens to be a very special organization to Mark. It just so happens that he met his wife, Jennifer, at an APS of Durham evening at the Washington Duke in 2007. In gratitude, the successful bidder of this particular O.F.C. bottle will also win the following:

Private Wine (& Whisky) Tasting for you and 3 friends (4 people total) at the Wine & Whisky Director's home in downtown Hillsborough, NC. Which bottles will Mark open? Who knows. But he promises not to disappoint. Not local? Well now you have a great excuse to attend the next wine auction in person!
