From the Mead Corporation art collection which was begun in 1955 and actively acquiring works until the early 1980s.

In 1957, Moreland was appointed chair of fine arts and art education at the University of Louisiana - Lafayette. A fine grouping of his paintings are found in the Mary Lee Eggart Collection at Ogden Museum of Southern Art at the University of New Orleans.
