Paar was an artist, designer, and playwright who studied at the American Academy of Art in Chicago, the Chicago Academy of Art and Columbia University. He later studied writing and theater at DePaul University and Truman College. His works were handled by several prominent Chicago dealers and were included in the corporate collections of IBM, Standard Oil Co., and numerous private collections.
