The food basket is decorated with red circular pattern against a black ground, handled, with tea cup and saucer fitted to lid, and a heavily carved cinnabar lacquer plate decorated with a dragon and phoenix encircling a flaming pearl in the center, around the edges are flowers in shaped medallions and Buddhist motifs, apocryphal mark to underside.
