Lot Details & Additional Photographs
Large bronze vase with applied patina, signed, dated 2011, numbered 7/36.

20.5 in. x 14 in. x 14 in.

From the Estate of Mary Ellen Dryden, Pittsboro, NC

Scottsdale Fine Art, Scottsdale, AZ (with COA)

This classical vase was originally commissioned by a couple living in the Lake Tahoe area and incorporates twelve stems of wild orange alpine lilies and three female black-chinned hummingbirds.

Working in the lost wax technique, each of Alleman's bronze vessels requires approximately eight to twelve weeks from the creation of a wax form to the final application of patina. In addition to the sculptural form, a companion writing accompanies each work. Alleman is graciously and generously influenced by the feminine experience and power of the natural world. She is also creatively aware through incorporating number symbolism in each sculpture.

Good estate condition.
