The Grotrian-Steinweg Company was founded in in 1835 by Friedrich Grotrian and Heinrich Steinweg (Steinway). After Steinway established Steinway & Sons in 1853, Grotrian continued the business in Germany, which is still family owned after five generations.

Grotrian pianos were favored by many musicians including Clara Schumann, who purportedly would only play concerts on her personal Grotrian.

Wear and scratching to case, especially to top; will require professional buffing and polishing; overall good estate condition. Professional condition report available upon request.
