Edo period (1615-1868), 1830s-1840s, woodblock print, ink and color on paper, from an untitled series often referred to as "Every Variety of Fish (Uozukushi)," published by Nishimuraya Yohachi (Eijudo), Hiroshige designed this series of twenty wood blocks of fish and published them in two sets of ten prints each in the 1830s and 1840s, this print has a beautifully detailed Bora fish or Gray Mullet artfully arranged with Camellia against a background with bokashi shading.
