40.5 in. round barrel stamped OBERNDORF in front of the breech and tapering to an approximately 17.5mm bore; walnut stock with brass nose cap, barrel bands, trigger guard, and buttplate; the lockplate stamped KONIGL./ WURT FABRIK. These weapons were purchased in small quantities by the U. S. Government and saw wartime use. Affixed with a 20th century green web sling.
