Ink and colors on paper, first Shuzenji Hotsprings, 1937, with artist's seal on lower right hand corner, and second Sunset on Furutone River, 1939, with artist's seal and name on lower left hand corner, below the image in margin reads "Outside Tokyo" and "Shiro Kasamatsu," Western patrons and collectors were particularly attracted to Shiro's prints for the romantic landscapes depicting traditional Japanese life and landmarks.
