Edo period (1615-1868), 1840-47 printing, books block printed containing woodblock prints, ink on paper, fukurotoji binding, gray-tan covers with white silk thread with blue-printed title label, volumes 1-12, publisher Eirakuya Toshiro (Nagoya), these volumes contain Hokusai's sketches, studies, ideas, observations of nature, everyday life and people of the Edo period, immortals and legends, showing the range of Hokusai's talent, it offers a manual that remains popular to this day and serves as inspiration to what is modern Manga in Japan.
