These wonderful cars rarely appear for sale stateside. And this RH drive example is a beautiful work of art. After World War II, they immediately began producing the RM series, which had a more "Modern" design than other manufacturers that just began producing 1938 models again. The RMB (RM 2.5) model was an improvement over the RMA (RM1.5). The RMB was lengthened to accommodate a larger 2.5 liter engine with twin carburetors, that produces 100 hp. It made this sedan one of the fastest available in 1948, with a top speed of around 100 mph. It is also equipped with a 4 speed manual transmission.

This RMB was bought in the United Kingdom by a Rhodesian and shipped to Rhodesia in 1948. The car remained on the road for several years and survived the height of the Bush War (1976 -1980). The country’s roads and highways were sometimes mined, and this car came out unscathed. The car was in the car collection of a member of the Zimbabwe Vintage and Classic Car Club in Harare, Zimbabwe. The car was purchased in Harare in 2010, and with the help of several mechanics, the car was restored to reliable running condition. The car was repainted to one of the original factory color scheme options and the interior seats were returned to leather upholstery (from vinyl) as would have been original to the car. The car remains mostly original.
The turn signal flags are broken and inoperable. Turn signals have been integrated into the rear brake lights. The engine runs strong and idles nicely. Transmission shifts smooth. Brakes are soft as expected, but operational. Frame is solid and body is mostly rust free. A few bubbles appear in the paint on the running board.

The car was shipped to the United States late in 2015 (arriving in early 2016).
