Likely Philadelphia, circa 1830-50, mahogany, mahogany veneer, poplar secondary, three part form, removable flared cornice with a mahogany veneered frieze, two hinged doors with molded and arched mullions, two interior louvered shelves above three side-by-side drawers, the right drawer divided for writing and ink, hinged fold-out writing lid with loper supports, above a projecting long drawer above two long drawers flanked by two fully turned columns, paneled sides, raised on acanthus leaf and bold carved hairy paw feet, rear turned legs.
