Oil on canvas (lined), unsigned, a three-quarter length figure of the general before the Montagu Bastion and the Rock of Gibraltar, presented in a period frame retaining two typed labels, one label reading "This portrait was painted after 1809 to commemorate an incident of the Siege of Gibraltar when General Fraser was wounded as Lieutenant in the 73rd Regiment."

Estate of the Late Richard Rivoire of Charles County, Maryland and Raleigh, North Carolina. A noted historical architect, J. Richard Rivoire was a native of Charles County, Maryland and the first to do extensive documentation of historic structures in that county. He moved to Raleigh in 2005 and was actively engaged in the research and documenting of historic structure in this region.
