Meiji period (1868-1912), a finely cast large bronze urn with birds flying among branches of persimmon trees in raised relief, some stunning details include bites on the leaves from insects, realistic knobby texture to wood on branches, and a wooden prayer tablet hanging from one of the branches, set into an elaborate base that rises up on tiers, the urn is topped by a mounting with gracefully unfolding flower petals.
