Late 18th century, oak secondary, two-part form, broken arch molded pediment with dentil molding above a plain frieze, two hinged shaped doors with old looking glasses above two pull-out candle shelves, moveable shelved interior, above a central prospect door flanked by three pigeon holes with valances above three side- by-side drawers, the base with a hinged lipped fall front lid, the desk interior with a central prospect drawer above three carved and molded side-by-side small drawers, four pigeon holes with valances, the outer two stepped forward, a total of four small side-by-side drawers; the case featuring a central upper game drawer, the inside for backgammon, the underside for chess, flanked by two candle loper drawers, above three graduated beaded drawers, raised on shaped bracket foot base.

Replaced pulls, with later hole patches from original pulls; repair to lid by lock; cut and repair at hinge joint; cut and repair to right rear foot facing; upper case inside panels behind mirror likely later; other repairs and wear consistent with age and use.
