19th century, black lacquer with two toned gilt decoration of noble court figures gathered in on a veranda bordered by pavilions, decoration is featured in shaped medallions on all sides, the interior with original hinged lead box with engraved decoration of two noble figures in a flower filled landscape, the interior lid has similar decoration to exterior, flush base.
