Caswell County, NC, circa 1840-50, mahogany, mahogany veneers, yellow pine secondary, side case boards walnut, unmarked, top board under marble bearing likely purchaser's information "R. D. Fleming Raleigh NC / pair (?) Kelly Purdoy of Brenner (?)", rectangular mirror with relief carved wave crest pediment featuring a stylized circular applied button to crest and lower mirror supports, with stylized fleur de lis supports over white marble top, the dresser having an ogee drawer, over three flush drawers with high grade matched veneers, with fruit and nut carved handles, raised on straight scrolled feet.
